How am I taxed?
In most cases you have 24.000 DKK completely tax-free. You have 2 options in regards to taxes for your short-term rental:
- the Bundfradragsmetoden (short-term rental) -> rent minus bundfradrag (depending on type of property)
- Regnskabsmetoden (commercial rental) -> tax is calculated by profit (rent minus all cost)
We usually recommend the Bundfradragsmetoden as it is in simpler from an accounting perspective.
What does HostMinded services include?
Our services include full management on different short-term rental platforms (e.g. Airbnb, Expedia, Booking.com, HomeAway, etc.) for your Copenhagen property.
That includes services such as: cleaning, key delivery, listing & booking management, photography, communication, nightly pricing and interior design services.

How does HostMinded charge in exchange for services?
We have two methods of charging for our full management services:
- The percentage fee is a directly proportional way of charging for our services and it is tied to the performance of the property. Both your final income and our fee for the services will depend on how many bookings and at what amounts they happen for your property.
- The fixed fee guarantees a monthly income for you no matter how the property performs. We agree on a monthly amount that you want to receive for your home and we take the consequences of good or poor performance. This type of fee can give you peace of mind as you know you will always be receiving a certain amount for your property while the percentage fee can never guarantee that.

Do you have a minimum service period?
Our minimum service period is 30 days/year.
We offer only the highest standards for every home we manage and we invest a great amount of time and effort into each and every one. Because of this effort, it is not viable for us to offer our services for less than 30 days a year.
I already have an Airbnb account, can you take it over?
Of course! You can still keep all of your reviews and the account in your name.
We will make all optimisations for your account and introduce ourselves to your guests when we communicate with them. We find that guests are more likely to ask questions and it gives them extra confidence when they find out that you have a dedicated support team.
I've never hosted on Airbnb before, can you get me up and running?
Of course! Creating a profile from scratch is our speciality.
Sometimes, first time hosts don’t know what to expect when starting with Airbnb and they get overwhelmed with cleaning or pricing. They might end up getting poor reviews in the beginning because of that. By starting your Airbnb journey with us you can be sure that you build a 5 star profile from the very beginning. I have an empty unfurnished apartment. Can HostMinded help?
Yes we can help! We are working together with interior designers that can draft a plan and implement all changes for your empty property. With minimum investment you can get up and running and generate revenue on Airbnb without any hassle.
What Denmark areas does HostMinded cover?
Our services are currently available in Copenhagen only. If you have a property outside Copenhagen, feel free to contact us at email@example.com to discuss more.
I have a property in Copenhagen but I don't live in Denmark. Is there anything I should consider before renting out?
Our services are specifically designed to help people like you that do no have the time or possibility to take care of practicalities when renting out.
We offer a completely hassle-free experience from beginning to end. In principle you should not be required to do anything if you live somewhere else.
We can always have a telephone/Skype meeting to discuss everything with you from distance.
